Hello Everyone,

The out pour of emails and news articles has been amazing. Please continue to post your thoughts & sentiments here and I am attempting to personally start answering each of you.

Several things I want to share with you about this first week of Dad’s passing….. Support the musician’s union! Harold Bradley and the Nashville Musician’s Union #257 surprised me Monday. My father had always expressed the union was important, and being a “youngster” in the music biz, people my age are going to be sorry if they don’t support their local unions. I never quite knew what he was talking about until I went to settle up paperwork for my father. I placed a personal call to Mr. Bradley after, and through tears, thanked him. From now on, I will forever be an advocate for them and any act I represent, I will suggest they join. They were a HUGE help to me during this terrible time.

Exciting news was Dad got mentioned on Paul Harvey’s Wednesday show which I found impressive. I emailed up to their tech support team b/c the QuickTime version for download was being temperamental. They ended up emailing me back saying how everyone up at ABC were fans of Dad and the guys from American Country Countdown send their love. It was truly special. Also, Walt Trot is doing a feature story which is being requested by country music fans in England, and the Nashville Scene did an excellent article as well. I’ve posted links to these on the main page of www.glennsutton.com in case you’re interested.

Lastly, I was able to pick up Dad’s ashes this week. I spent the week pulling apart all the floral arrangements from the service and all the greenery I’ve mulched up to start preparing a garden here at Dad’s house for him. He always wanted me to do that, so he’s getting one now. Everyone was so nice to send so many beautiful arrangements and I want you to know, not one piece has gone to waste. All the greenery is being worked into the soil for compost & mulch. All the baskets that had different varieties of plants in them have been separated and are hanging out with others of their kind in groups along side the pool getting water and sun before I put them in the beds I’m preparing tomorrow. I’m starting 3 gardens. A sun garden in which the hydrangeas will go, a shade garden where the azaleas will go and a patio/sunroom spot for all the beautiful houseplants and african violets. I’ve even reserved all the petals from the non-plantable arrangements so that when I finish my planting, I can scatter the petals along the top of the new flower beds to brighten them up and then they too will die into the ground and make great nutrients. As strange as it may sound to a few of you, I’ll probably put a few ashes in each of the beds too. I want to start these gardens with love and everything I could reserve from the kind gifts so many of you sent.

I have a blog on which I try to keep updates at of my personal adventures. I travel a lot and take tons of pictures which I hope you enjoy.

You should call Dad’s house at some point if you have the chance. I’ll be keeping his number for awhile as I rummage through here looking at all his collectibles, deciding what to do with things. As many of you know, Dad didn’t believe in answering machines, call waiting or cell phones, so many of you will get a jolt out of some of the voice mails we’re putting on his line periodically. I hope they make your day a little brighter. He always wanted people to be happy, so my goal currently is to try to share his humor with you, so I myself am reminded of his spirit.

Peace & Love to you all,
Lisa
